Kiara featuring Shanice Wilson – This Time ’88

Omg, this song right here? Oh it takes me back to a time where I was very unsure of my future but sure of the moment. First time I heard this song was in the winter. It was a snow day, it was cold, and the hood was blanketed in fluffy white snow. When you looked outside, the sun would be shining on the snow, blinding you. It was the best. I remember looking out my window and thinking how happy I was that school was gonna be out for a couple of days. I feel in love with this song the first time I heard it on the radio. I thought the lyrics were beautiful and how lovely a job Shanice did in the duet. Only thing that always baffled me was, who the hell was Kiara? To this day, I never heard of them before or after. I know they have other music out, I just don’t remember ever hearing them. Either way, I am glad to have heard this song and when I hear it these days, I shed a tear. I shed a tear because it reminds me of simpler and fun times in the 80s.

Where was I? In my messy room lol, looking out the window, and admiring the beautiful snow. I want to add this is not the original version but a remix done with Al B. Sure. I still love the radio version but this version is soooo much better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzLYuph2rPk&ab_channel=Tre404
